This question is a little nuts. It's sort of like saying that federal health insurance for retired people (Medicare) is discriminatory. It's like saying that taking your child to a pediatrician is separating him or her from the world of adult physicians.

Gender- or age-specific services are not a form of separation. They are a form of specialization, to meet the particular needs of particular people.

What is so unfair about car insurance for women? Do you also feel it's unfair that you don't get to go to a gynecologist? Are you angry that you're not allowed to enroll in preschool?

Women don't want to be "separated" from men, and treated differently (either better or worse) just because they are women. That is what this car insurance program seems to do, so it's BAD!! Now, don't get me wrong.....women (just like men) DO want to be separated out from CRUMMY, NEGLIGENT, AND BAD DRIVERS (whether men or women)!. So that is what the insurance company should be offering to do. If the insurance company does that, most women will get better rates, I think, than most men, because most women are safer drivers. But those women who don't drive safely, won't get the best rates. Just MHO.

some women are feminists to the extreme. and that means they think just how you use a tone with them, a subtle one that really means nothing is harassment. now i am a teenage girl and like equality, but some women think that equality is more than being equal, it's being above the man. and that's crazy.

I don't understand it, either, and I don't think that many people do. We don't want to be separated. We want to be treated equally, and by treating us as separate individuals, it doesn't make a lot of sense, but I guess people will buy it.

Do to the fact that women are such bad drivers it must be some sort of marketing ploy.

Perhaps women get better rates, perhaps it is just marketing. Protest to the company if you wish.
