Most people do not. Sadly, it seems sometimes that most of the ignorant people have internet connections.

Your question is not one just of American Indian heritage, but of all peoples since time immemorial. Why do people "hate" other races? There are some that have throughout history done great evils to other races...the "Whites" against American Indians, African Americans, the Chinese, the Japanese, and even others that are considered "white". Take the Irish for instance. During the Great Potato Famine in Ireland, many Irish immigrated to the U.S. where they were treated badly, beaten, killed, and dealt with as second class citizens. Many more examples of this exist throughout history. But to answer your question and not dwell on history, there are generally three issues that cause this behavior. Fear, Ignorance, and Jealousy. I myself come from mixed heritage, European, American Indian, Irish, Scottish...you name it...I hate no one, just peoples actions. Hate is also generally a learned behavior in addition to the three previous reasons I listed. It's passed down, like a virus from generation to generation. I hope you find some solace in these words, as not all people are hateful, of any race, but love their fellow man as we all exist for such a brief amount of time in this place to hate anyone. I wish you peace.

I am more Cherokee than anything else. Not full blooded, mind you, but I look like it. The Caucasian side of my family was just as bad off as my Native American side. The reason being they did nothing for them selves. I'm proud of my blood, even though they were mostly drunks. I can't say what race I am from my fathers side, I have yet to meet my father face to face- I'm 26. I will not let anyone make me feel less than human, if they do they aren't worth my time. I will stand up for people that deserve it. My white blood supressed my red blood for hundreds of years, took their resources and used them as nothing more than slaves. I'm ashamed of what one side of my family did to the other side. But there's nothing I can do to change the past. I can only change now in how I treat others. I resent the fact that you're saying all whites are racist. I have no right to be with my bloodline. There's just ignorant people who feel the need to discriminate by race. Racists come in many different colors.

Its really good that today, everybody is talking about a lot of things which sometime ago were almost taboo, its good that ur adressing this issue , and all the best to you - I'd say the mindset has changed a bit though - but, it does exist in the minds of peoples

I,personally,don't feel that way!
My great-great grandfather married a Cherokee Princess.
However, your comment,"though our thoughts and ideas are
much better than u",is not called for!
It sounds like YOU are having a hard time accepting YOURSELF!
There are good AND Bad in ALL Races! But,I don't Hate you!
God Loves us all and we should love each other! Peace!

I don't hate people from India. I don't group people in one lump. There are idiots in all cultures and races.. dosen't mean they are all idiots. From what I know about people from India.. they are passive, smart, peaceful... what's to hate about that? We need more of that in the world.

I get it, dots not feathers, only have met one family from India , It was fun to visit with them, we were friends then they moved to California.
I haven't met any one who hates people from India so I can't help you . But maybe it is your attitude towards Americans.
