Many people do. Surprisingly C.S.Lewis (the christian author who wrote The Chronicles of Narnia) wondered about them. He wondered what we should do if we ever met them. Should we tell them about Jesus. He also Wrote a SciFi book (the Perelandra Trilogy about space aliens and God) Check it out.

If a bacteria is counted as a space being we may find one in our solar system the coming years. So uh...i think the chances are about 100%.
Life as a result from the change of nonorganic material to organic material is more or less a very natural physical process it would make absolutely no sense if this only occured here, in this teeny weenie place in the outskirt of the universe in this dimension/string/factor of 10 thing.

I absolutely believe that we are but one of millions of lifeforms inhabiting our universe (and the 11 others if you adhere to the String Theory).
Many humans, especially deeply religious ones (note: I didn't say Spiritual) deny that anyone else is out there, either from typical human arrogance or because to believe so would undermine their tenet that God created the universe and Earth is his HQ.
But if you have any common sense, doesn't it seem that with billions of stars in our universe alone, and each star with its own solar system, that there's more than a passing chance that there are other lifeforms out there, maybe just bacteria right now, or maybe so far advanced that we're the bacteria!

I don't know about our solar system, but I believe there are ETs within reach of us. However, when we do finally meet them I think we will be surprise at how much they are like us. As Stephen Hawkins wrote "time and space are infinite." The folks out there are probably observing us, waiting to see if we take the right course or if we totally screw up Earth. I suspect in our lifetime we will find out which one happens. Hopefully they will save us from ourselves if we can't fix the mess we are in; geo-politically, and environmentally.

Yes. Odds are good that life exists or has existed in many forms throughout the universe. Odds are low that we will have contact due to great distances in space and time. I doubt that we (or anyone else) will break the light barrier.

Guaranteed statistically that there is other sentient life in the Universe. Weather we'll ever make or have contact is a different question.

Sure, I've met up with a few in my lifetime. They just don't give themselves away. I think that is DeJa Vu..
