I am not saying that gays should be allowed to marry. i think a civil union is just fine. certainly a gay marriage is somewhat differrent than a straight marriage, not worse or better, but somewhat different. in any event the question is about benefits, not marriage.
why shouldnt two gay men or two lesbian women in a committed relationship who love each other deeply and want to marry or the equivalent of it, be allowed the benefits of married people if not in name then at least in substance.
i know i am going tohear the bible bangers whose only connection tgod is a book that they believe literally so in fact the world is something like 6000 years old according to you. you people can go on to the next question or stick your heads back in the dark place you came from.
my question is geared to the thoughtful less prejudiced person who is on the fence. i want to hear from you people who cant make up your mind and why.
