The problem I have in America, is that social settings tend to cater to the loudest, most obnoxious person who typically dictates the direction of the conversations, the mood of the group, and the opinions of like-minded individuals. When these people are challenged, they vindicate thier actions by saying they were "just joking," but I believe that this "joking" actually directs or sways everyone's opinion if the presentation is effective enough. I thought this kind of crap ended in high school! When do we all become adults? Is this typical of only certain social classes?
