I think that Buddhism is growing in popularity because, Buddhism is more of a self discovery than a Religion. And nowadays people are getting more spiritual, and want to find themselves, and try to be at peace with themselves. Honestly that's all I can really think of.

Buddhism is the oldest of religions. It is the wisest. The methods have been used in American Culture for years such as psychology, science, fitness, etc. Buddhism opens the mind and releases your demons as well as making you healthy, happy, and wise. Christianity is being exposed today to the extent that modern society is starting to see that Buddhism is God within you more-so than... People today want results. They want to lose weight, be healthy, happy, and wise. Buddhism actually and truthfully does that well.
