The people in this forum misunderstand. This is not a DEBATE forum. We're looking for answers. I'm frankly trying to disprove a myth.
Rather than trying to help, most people seem intent on disproving ME (the asking one) and SUPPORT the urban legend:
1. "I have personally spoken with people who have had "pet" turts/torts for many years...were over 40...over 30. Why is it so difficult to believe that there are animals that can out live humans?" [If the people were alive, the turtle was not over 200!] [The examples you give are 20-40 years. My grandfather is much older than 30-40! We're talking about 200!]
2. "No one can really tell...monitoring the same animal for the whole of its life is nearly impossible..."[That's why we invented WRITING!!]
3. "Monitor a turtle...Pass on your notes to someone younger you trust..." [That's PRECISELY what I am looking for: RECORDS passed on through generations PROVING a turtle is over 200.]
It's not for ME to prove! I'm looking for ANSWERS!

I know what happens to a dead body, the sweeling and generally ick. But if someone just immersed themselves in water, with proper breathing devices, and no protection. How would it affect them? They have water, food, and waste facilities. I looked up why skin wrinkles and shipwreck survivors and immersion tanks with little help to my question. And hypothetically this is clean water, not dirty water so I don't think the water torture stuff applies.

I live in an urban area in Southern California. I have visited websites about tardigrades ("water bears") and, though they say that tardigrades can be found worldwide, they do not say where specifically. If I were to collect some moss in my local San Gabriel mountains, would I find tardigrades? How about if I collected some wet earth/moss in my backyard? Has anyone heard of someone in the San Gabriel Valley finding tardigrades?

humans only get one replacement - baby to adult teeth, sharks for exemple can replace teeth time and time again.

That recent song.
She talks about approaching drums, then starts shouting at a baby. What drums are mobile? Car disco systems maybe. I think in the last song she did she also shouted at a 'baby'. I hate those approaching discos, so un-free to be controlled.

My little sister wants a hedgehog, and has done extensive research on them. One thing she came across puzzled us- they are outlawed in certain states, but it never said why. We thought it might be due to a disease they could carry, but we can't find the reason.
Does anyone know?
