Although you probably could house both sugar gliders and hamsters together in the same cage, I wouldn't recommend it.

Hamsters are vicious little freaks. I've been bitten by more hamsters than any other 'pet' creature. I'd sooner grab an unfamiliar tarantula or snake than a hamster any day.

So if the hamster gets ornery, they may bite the sugar glider, and that would make the sugar glider unhappy. And I like sugar gliders, so I would be sad too.

Besides, sugar gliders have difficulty fitting in those Habitrail tubes, and they feel left out.

Hamsters are Eurasian ground dwelling placental mammals. Sugar gliders are arboreal, Australian marsupials. Why would they want to live together even if they could?.

this would be a silly idea. they have completely different requirements and are not at all similar in any way. they need completely different types of cage.
