All my life bugs have been flocking around me. I remember when I was in elementary school at P.E. or playing outside there were always swarms of lawn gnats flying above my head. Being a kid I thought it was because I was smelly but now that I'm older and have better hygiene I can rule that out, however, the bug are still swarm over me. Then we have the misquotes and fly's and spiders....I'm being stalked.

My room is up stairs and the bugs try so hard to get to me that they will fly up the stairs and even under my door to get at me...this is get crazy. I HATE bugs but for some reason they seem to love me. I know it's not b/c I smell bad or am dirty/nasty maybe I'm releasing some hormone they like to smell or something....

WHY ME!!!

animal, human, insect, whatever....what's the oldest?

I am looking for an insect, well actually two.
Both of these insects actually have 4 eyes. If this doesn't seem odd to you, well the majority of insects have two large compound eyes and usually three ocelli or simple eyes. Some orders like Diplura and Protura dont have eyes at all.

The insect I am looking for is a member of the order Coleoptera, it has four seperate eyes and they all function independantly. If you can give me its common or latin name and one adaptive advantage of this peculiar eye arrangement you will get the points......first one to give the best answer wins (no copy and paste).
However, as I mentioned at the beginning, there are two commonly known species with 4 eyes, The reason for the second species having 4 eyes is still not clearly understood, but if someone could provide both species, the points go to them......

good luck!

We have to very large evergreen bushes, I would guess Jupiter, but there are worms or caterpillar type bugs on them that have taken the needles and made a sort of cacoon or shell around themselves and they hang on the branches and look like pods. I would like to know what they are called so I can get more information on them. Thanks for your answers.

if you study the crow you will find out that they do warn you of danger or of events which are going to happen.

now dodnt diss this think about it.
when something happened to you, was there 1 or more crows squarking or cackling when you left your house.
i think you will find there were.
learn from this and show respect, remeber the crow for it knows all.

Now I am not talking about an animal with a outer shell (say for example like a turtle) but skin only. Is it a crocodile, elephant, rhinoceros, what? Not a homework question or anything, (I am in college… LOL) but just wondering?

I've always wondered this. It would seem that they should shrink as their water stores are depleted, but is there some kind of underlying structure that keeps the hump's shape whether the camel is dehydrated or replenished?

I notice that in Dallas, TX a great deal of birds sit at very specific intersections such as Plano Rd and Beltline in Richardson. Not being a native of Texas, I can't recall seeing this type of activity (perhaps the birds are just larger here like everything else!). They sit on the wires, atop trees but only on certain corners. And of course they sing like crazy. Anybody know why?
