yes it can. it doesnt matter if it's been dead a week. It will still sting you. once i touched a wasp that landed on a plant shelf and died, well, anyway, a few weeks later i went up there to clean and it stung me. It didn't hurt as bad but you know it stinks if ur allergic because then u swell and...yeah. so the answer is yes, it willllllll sting you.

Not if he is completely and totally dead, but if he LOOKS dead, and you pick him up, you may get a nasty surprise!
