i have a butterfly bush in front yard and have found the undamaged wings of multiple viceroy butterflys with no body or body still attached but no heads. I wonder what caused this since I would think birds would eat the whole insect or damage the wings.

Neurons are required for sensation and an unusually long creature such as a dinosaur might have slower reaction times when something touched or hurt his tail. How long would it take for his brain to get the message and send it back to the peripheral nervous system to stimulate a reaction.

If I were to remove a whale, dolphin, etc. (no fish, only marine mammals) from the water they would obviously die, even if they were fed well.

Why is that??? Is it simply because their skin dries out and the absence of water?

I mean they don't need water to breathe like fish, they have blowholes. So is it their skin???

I recently saw what looked like a large black panther in the woods near my home, but to my knowlege there should not be anything like that living in this area of the U.S. Any help would be appreciated.
