It really depends on what you are looking for. I have been looking at veterinary schools for the past four years while I have been finishing my B.Sc and I have found that I am interested in Guelph, ONT; Colorado, Minnesota and Saskatoon, SASK. The best bet would be to look on http://www.aavmc.org/ which is the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges. They have all of the information on there, and all of the application information is on there as well. Unfortunately the deadline is passed for application this year (today was the due date - Oct 3) however, this gives you plenty of time to look and decide for the future. Good luck!

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of support for my answer, but my alma mater, Colorado State University, has a reputation as being a very good vet school. My only support for this is from what I had heard from vet students at CSU as their reason for choosing to go to school there. Outside of the vet school, CSU on the whole is an excellent school and Fort Collins is a fantastic town (it was also rated as the #1 city to live in in the USA recently!).

Sounds funny, but if you've ever seen the show "Emergency Vets" on Animal Planet, that show is filmed at a vet clinic in Colorado and sometimes they will take critters to the clinic at Colorado State for extra help.

If you'd like to take a look at the program for yourself, here's a link to the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences webpage: http://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/

Good luck in your decision and Go Rams! ;) hehe I couldn't resist!

depends on what state you live in. Most vet schools accept students mainly from their home state. Only a small number of out-of-staters are accepted. Some of the best schools are Cornell in New York (top school a few years ago) or UC Davis. UC Davis is pretty damn competitive, and the people are a little snotty, so I wouldn't suggest going there. Your best best is your state school.
