Weather - June 2006

[Selected]: All categories Science & Mathematics Weather

Why has it been so cold in the Northeast?? It was warm for a while, like back in March, and now it is cold again (like 60's and 70s). it is June it should be much warmer than this for this time of year.
Will it ever get warm again?? Why is the weather like this? I thought "global warming" was supposed to be raising the normal highs....temps are below normal!

I am in Christchurch, New Zealand and it has been snowing off and on for the last 10 or so hours...it very rarely snows in the city especially being by the sea, this is our first snow for the winter and it probably won't snow again here this winter, but then again it could. It is 0° degrees Celsius which is freezing point for those of you using Fahrenheit. Have a great day ;0)

I am looking for a place to live in the United States that meets this criteria: 1. safe 2. beautiful 3. cool year-round with NO hot weather 4. Close to a LARGE city yet has rural areas (I want a garden!) 5. Low unemployment 6. Low cost of living 7. Great schools 8. Good Word of Faith Church (following teachings of Kenneth Copeland, Jerry Savelle, and Jesse Duplantis) 9. Community activities 10. A place that has a lot going for it....with festivals and entertainment 11. Friendly ...... The cool weather aspect really matters. I don't mind temperatures that get in the high 70s, but I don't want the 80s! I also do not want temperatures below freezing.....a general guideline would be to live in a place that has year-round temperatures between 20 degrees to 75 degrees YEAR ROUND in the continental United States (I don't want to live in Alaska, though.)
