Watch TV......with a baseball bat to be sure I'm safe! Lock the door! You could also listen to music or clean your room. The ideas are endless! But I would prefer you don't watch scary movies! Another good idea is to make tea or hot cocoa! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you did not use a land line. a bolt of lighting can strike the telephone pole and you can get hurt or killed that way. thunder storms don't bother me. what I do. Is when I see the lighting I count to hear the thunder. see how close the lighting was. something else you can do is get your candles or flashlight ready in case you lose power to your house.

try turnign on the T.V., but if the lights are out then listen to music. Or you could what cziizi says it sound like fun, but of course why not do both at the same time.
good luck.

My daughter is very afraid of storms. She usually goes to the basement. (I don't know if you have one) She wears headphones to drown out the sound and concentrates on reading a book. If those types of things are not working for you, you can see a Doctor and they can prescribe medication. I've done that for her also.

That happened to me when I was 13. I will never forget my mom telling me before she died that you should go to bed and go to sleep because it will all be over when you wake up. Then she died when I was 15. I have been doing that with every bad storm in the past40 years.

I would suggest that you go to the nearest police station right away. Just think about what happened in "When A Stranger Calls". Huh?

you wouldn't want to go out in the storm for that is more dangerous. You are better off to stay home. You could always pray to our Heavenly for your safty and He will watch over you and protect you.
