When I was a kid I was so scared of storms that I would literally make my self sick! This went on for years and years. But the key to overcoming my fear was education. Around the age of 8 or 9 I began to watch The Weather Channel and Discovery Channel to learn about weather. As I began to understand severe weather, and what conditions create it, I was less afraid.

Through education, my fear turned into passion. Today, I have a degree in meteorology and I even go storm chasing every summer. I think if you can better understand the world around you, you will find there is little to fear! Good luck!

You should face it and try to watch movies and shows about it. Read about and stay informed. If not, then don't live where there are tornadoes. Maybe if you can find someone who has lived in tornado proned places or has gone through one, it will help you get over the fear.

The fear never leaves. I live in Hurriciane area and the fear is always there, just learn to prepare and take the proper action. I have been through both hurricains and tornadoes, I rather see the hurriciane myself, but that is a personal opinion, we just have more time to do what we have to do to get ready. Good luck and
prepare for what you can not change.NEVER WAIT FOR THE LAST MIN. TO PREPARE, STAY PREPARED.

First, go to school and learn how to write proper sentences. While you are at it, learn as much as you can about weather/tornadoes, and build yourself a strong basement. Just the fact that you have it will give you a reassurance whether you actually use it or not. :)

Watch discovery channel and get all the facts. chances are if you are informed about natural disasters and what to do when they strike...then it wont be as much of a fear. Try to stay away from local weather channels and newspapers. They tend to over exaggerate themselves to get their viewer ratings higher

Accept the fact that you can't control the weather and that you can die at anytime. It's more realistic to be afraid of driving.
