Does anyone know what types of forces are in work between the time when the golfer hits his club towards the golf to the end when the golf ball goes into the hole? Thank you.

Ok, it's a measurement, but of what exactly? We take time for granted as if it is something, yet is not an object, an energy or even a force like gravity. Newton thought it was fixed, Einstein found it relative, Quantums puts it on LSD and Strings make it whatever you want it to be. From 2 year olds holding up 2 fingers to theoretical physists we all acknowledge time. Yet, think about it: What exactly is TIME?

I know that the electric and gravitational forces diminish wrt distance in accordance to the inverse square.

But what of dipoles? If you have an electric dipole, at what inverse power does the electric force diminish wrt distance? What about magnetic force?

Is it THEORETICALLY possible to actually = the speed of light

because I've read so many articles where physicists @ CERN accelerate particles to 99.999% of the speed of light, but never actually REACH it ...


If this were possible, what would it be like? Would your thoughts slow down completely as well ...would you be frozen for infinity ????

hey, for an assignment i've been told for me and my group to construct a bridge out of popsicle sticks and a white wood glue. it has to be over 15 in. and less than 18 in. long. and a like 3-5 in wide. From what i understand there has to be a roadbed with a gap wide enough to accomidate the thing the load will be hung with. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Spontaneous generation is impossible in a macroscopic environment because of the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Fluctuation theorom, however, states that entropy can be decreased in a microscopic environment. Does that prove spontaneous generation (RNA world) are possible?
