I know that the electric and gravitational forces diminish wrt distance in accordance to the inverse square.

But what of dipoles? If you have an electric dipole, at what inverse power does the electric force diminish wrt distance? What about magnetic force?

Inverse square is only for omnidirectional radiation.

Dipoles are directional on a perpendicular plane.

The same rules do not apply.
