A shop sign hanging off the edge of a wall weighting 201 N is supported by a uniform 129 N beam of length = 1.70 m. The guy wire connecting the sign is D=1.36 m from the backboard. The angle the uniform beam supporting the sign and the wall makes is 39.2 degrees.

What is the tension in the guy wire?

What is the horizontal force exerted by the hinge on the beam?

What is the vertical force exerted by the hinge on the beam?

I have been working on this for hours but all the teacher has given us to work this problem is a torque equation, which I don't think helps in this question. Please help!!!

If subatomic particles can come into existence and disappear spontaneously... then why are atoms (and other, larger objects which are composed of atoms, such as rocks, trees, houses...) not able to spontaneously "appear" and "disappear"?

Some say it is heavier than the air, and some say it is lighter than the air. Which is true? If you are a chemistry major, your answer would be very appreciated.

I was asked how did scientifics determined which charge to be called positive and which to be called negative (+), (-). If you make an experimental measure, you can get either two charges that attract each other or that repel each other, but you don't know which one to call positive and which to call negative. Could it be that this convention comes from the magnetic flux around a magnet? I need this answer urgently, please.

Maybe at least the engine block would make it to earth as a fireball and what would be the splash size then? Would it create a big enough wave in a giant lake, like as big as the Great Salt Lake?

I was travelling in a taxi that was travelling at 70 mph however there were mosquitos inside the car flying around the car as if it were stationary. How is it that these mosquitos who were not connected to the car in anyway could fly at over 70 mph even when the car changes speed at stoplights etc. Please give me the facts behind the explanantion.
