I am a black , female math major. I'm the only math major I know who is not white or asian. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the company of my fellow white/asian math nerds (lol) but sometimes I wish I could find a math major or better yet a mathematician who looked like me (black &female). Is that wrong?

Ps.
I am in a mentoring program that is aimed at putting more minorities into the sciences but all the mentors are either white or asian.

The current gummy book binders for paperbacks and hardcovers make it so that a book needs to be held open with both hands. The book is always wanting to close itself.

Also, books take on the shape of a gull wing where the pages curve away from the reader. We are oftentimes reading a continuously curving surface. The eyes need to focus at different depths in a short amount of time.

So, I was wondering if it's possible to make book binders with nanotechnology such that each page can literally be opened at 90 degrees. Instead of one big hinge, if you will, there would be say 150 nano-hinges for a 300 page book.

home". What purpose does it serve? I hear but don't listen to criping except to get a take on where the "mind set" is functioning/ (get me on that grammar. I confess, not so good.) Sinking in the problem seems, well, redundent. I am not a Rocket Scientist. I hold no Akolades in Any Area. I am not called upon for my opinion or "take".

I am questioning our motives. I am questioning things that simply don't make sense. We can accept complience and apathy forever. The forever part will be short lived but it will be what we allowed, (accepted). My question? Does anyone have the goal of fixing "real problems"? Acceptance and Apathy are Kicking Our Butts. Everyone knows it but noone stands up, votes or questions any of it. Why? That is my question. Why? I have my answer already. Please do not respond with antagonist, mean-spirited remarks. None needed. I want Answers or Solutions. I want "Helpers". Thanks.

God's Speed and Grace,
Nancy

I mean SEEERIOUSLY!!! i am way to complex just to begin with. and the other thing is, this world is far to beautiful and complex to just happen by random chance. i mean words cant explain how amazing life is. and you HAVE to take this into concideration, honestly where do you go when you die? if your living right now and die later and than just stay there dead and not go anywhere, then what is the purpose to live? not to be remembered when everyone else is dead. I obveously have a lot of scientific reasons to back this thing up (back up everything what the bible says and proove that evolution is false) but im not going to. what i am going to do is just ask you this all you evolutionists...

if you dont believe in god, then why bother? why bother doing what your doing? why bother educatiing others. why bother being respectful. i mean your gonna die soon and if it feels good you might as well do it...why dont you hmm? why do you care to life knowing that there is no reward afterwards??

It's just taking a pic and then saving it as different forms, like PNG, JPEG, TIFF, etc. and then comparing like the file sizes, pic quality, etc.

I know it's a middle school project but I hate science and I just want something quick and easy, where I don't stutter over confusing terms and ideas.
