There are several kinds of Dwarfism that are genetic or caused by malfunction of the Pituitary Gland. Some have normal limbs but short torso, some have short limbs but normal torso (the most common) and some are normally proportioned but very tiny.
To be classed as a Pituitary Dwarf .These are the type that used to be called Midgets. (Now very Politically Incorrect)....... normal proportions but small you have to be under 4ft 10 ins.
I know because I am one! (4ft 9ins) and you can call me whatever you like!

I don't think dwarfism is a question of actual height. It is a condition which causes shortening of the long bones so the body is normal but the legs and arms are shorter in proportion. A very small person with arm and legs in proportion to the body size is a midget.

In the United States, you are legally a dwarf when your adult height is less than 4' 10".

its not to do with your height its a medical condition that means your bones dont lengthen
