Do lawyers use chemistry in their jobs? (I'm not talking about chemistry, as in love, but chemistry as in science, periodic table, labs, beakers, etc)

Thanks

I'm beginning to study biology and I've been looking under microscopes and all that. I don't understand why a cell is alive..what's keeping it alive? How does it know what to do..like a mini factory..with the components working together? It seems like it has some sort of intelligence that directs it. What is keeping the cell alive?

I heard about a pair of glasses that can make light "brighter".

Example: You're in a room and light a candle. The glasses make the room seem brighter, like it's being lite by multiple candles.

Is this real? Is so, where can I find them?

I mean, I know poison are substances that are toxic to the bodies of plants, animals, fungus and other microscopic beings; however, is there a comon characteristica that all these kind of substances share? Why do they have to be harmful? What make swallowing mercury different from swalloing a coin?

I am quite pedantic and feel quite guilty for the smallest things.

If someone thought of an idea for a possible invention, but left it there, and I took the idea, improved it, tweaked it, polished it and turned it into an actual working machine and patented it, would it be my invention?

Even if it is my invention according to law, what about morally? Do you think it is stealing, or just sharing information and avoiding reinventing the wheel?

Multiple mirrors not just one. Is there a limit to how high you can get the temperature? Can anyone give me an example like, "It would take 233 mirrors focussing on the same spot to make the temperature on teh spot 1000 degrees C"...?

Thanks for your answers ;)
