There have been suggestions that there is such a thing as the male menopause, so haven't they then got a 'time of the month'? (e.g. a monthly cycle of their hormones that changes their 'performance' generally. Tiredness/increased agitation/increased sweating/clumsiness/ decreased coordination/spots etc. Not sure what to suggest really!)
Men, have you noticed anything about yourselves that would suggest this is true?
I know Women's cycles are for the purpose of preparing the womb for pregnancy. And so the male cycle would not be for reproduction purposes, but is there such a 'thing'?

I was just wondering, why don't people use something smaller than photons? After all, aren't there smaller particles? Is there some sort of principle not allowing this?

Unfortunately, I don't know the title of this particular occupation. Ever since I saw someone wearing white gloves & spending their time in a small room carefully brushing off archaeological finds- I've wanted to have that occupation. It may sound boring to some, but I think it would be fascinating to spend careful hours every day gently brushing various archaeological findings. What is the name of this occupation, and how does one enter into such a profession?

Your doctor screened you for a particular virus and the results came back positive, indicating that you have the virus. How concerned should you be?

What if your doctor said:

* The test is 100 percent accurate in indicating a person has the virus when they actually have it.

* The test indicates a person has the virus when they don't actually have it 5 percent of the time.

* The virus is present in one out of five hundred people.

What's the probability (percentage) that you actually have the virus?

i am going to be enrolled in a 3 year science research class in my highschool. i was wondering if anyone has interesting areas of research. my first choice was testing the effects of cannabinoids on multiple sclerosis, but medicinal marijuana is illegal in NY. i am really interested in the central nervous system, but anything that deals with science would work.

this is probably a basic question, but i was called to transfer the contents of a glass bottle from the ultrasound room to the tech center which held, i'm assuming, liquid from a patient via a standard thoracentesis procedure.

when i picked it up, the doctor told me to be extra careful with it; if i dropped it, it would implode because the bottle was in a vacuum-ous(?) state. i've heard of solid matter imploding, but not liquid. or, was he referring to the bottle itself imploding? i'm guessing that would make a lot more sense.

i was just wondering if anyone knew any more on this subject. i know the difference between an explosion and an implosion, but does anyone know what it would look like for a glass jar containing liquid to implode on itself?
