Think of an amusement park. The lines going in or out are always one way. One way into or out of the subway. Lines for shows are controlled one way.

Yes, In some larger cities sidewalks will go with the flow of the traffic. For example the right lane traffic is going forward, the right side walk will have people walking the same way.

These are very rare and I have on seen two in my life and I am 40 years old.
