I was woken up by the dawn chorus this morning. A host of British birds singing their tiny hearts out.

I may be imagining things, but whenever there has been rain in the night the birds seem to sing that little bit louder. Is it my imagination, a trick of the damp air, the birds feeling that much more energetc or something that I have missed?

It's impossible to get from point A to point B because it's impossible to START. You have to get half way there first, but before you get half way there, you have to get half of half way there, and before you get half of half way there, you have to get half of half of half way there.... and so on and so on and so on... you can't start!!!

My daughter did a science project for school. In the experiment she took four differant colors of water, and compared it to a glass of clear water. The clear water evaporated faster than the colored water, now she needs to know why. And I can't figure it out. Any help would be great!

Cosmic collision happened in the past but science has no record of these collisions, maybe some small galaxy pass within our galaxy, merged and changed the intrinsic atmosphere of the earth causing massive devastation of living things on the land, air and sea.

A friend told me that there is a type of contact on the market now that you wear overnight. Then in the morning you can take it out, and the contact has actually temporarily changed the shape of your eye. So, as long as you wore the contact long enough while sleeping, you don't need to wear it at all during the day and you can see perfectly. If you know about this can you please provide a link to more information.

Your doctor discovers that you have a blood pressure of 160/115. She tells you that changing your diet, adding restricted exercise, and taking medication will help reduce your blood pressure. What assumption is made by the doctor?
-
Answer:
a. That your blood pressure is normal
b. That you have been eating fatty food
c. That blood pressure of 160/115 is dangerous to your health
d. That medication will help you lose weight
-
I choose B. Because, you Dr. is assuming you eat fatty foods, based on your pressure, and illustrats that by telling you to "change you diet"
-
Right Answer: C
"How is this an assumption made by the Dr.? Doesnt he KNOW this to be true?

The way I see it choice 'C' would be an assumption on the patients part, because of the fact that the Dr. is telling him/her to chance it.

Thanks in advance.

There are two questions. The latter one is whether a Revived Battery is considered "renewable energy" by most people.

Revived Batteries are (err, were) dead batteries that were destined for shredding (recycling) and which we rescued, so our cost is nil. The process of reviving batteries costs less than $10 per battery.

A revived battery will last nearly as long as a new one. We can revived batteries approximately 5 more time, based on experience. A weak/dead battery can usually be revived to double its range in an electric vehicle. (Used them for over 3 years on ebikes and escooters.)

We don't have an FAQ site, but here is a photo blog webpage, in case you're wondering what our etruck looks like:
http://revived-battery-truck.blogspot.com/

In your opinion, if there are benefits, how good are the benefits, in respect to alternative energy, in a scale of 1 to 10?

How much energy-reduction is achieved by battery revival, as opposed to letting dead batteries be shredded?

"Chemistry is one of the oldest forms of science, dating back to the Babylonian period. Chemistry deals with the behavior resulting from the combination of different elements.
. This may seem like a study that would be kept behind closed laboratory doors, but chemistry deals with everyday life on an elemental level.
. Chemistry is divided into two main branches of study: Organic and inorganic. Organic chemistry focuses on carbon compounds while inorganic chemistry focuses on all of the other elements and compounds that you can find on the Periodic Table. In this table, created by Dmitri Mendeleev, elements are classified into groups, periods and families, with each element being assigned its own letter symbol."

How would you best explain the study of Chemistry?

I choose: It is a study that deals with the combination of chemicals
Right Answer: It is a study that deals with everyday life
-
If I am wrong, I will admit it, but I want to believe, not accept.
Thanks.

I know I've asked this before but still...

I think there's a ghost in my house. I've seen him a couple of times...he wears all black and looks sortta like the grim reaper I think...I've seen him run into my mum's office and then I ran after him and he was gone. I saw him behind me once and turned around and he was gone. When I listen to music in my room I'll suddenly see something out of the corner of my eye or if I'm walking around listing to music I'll see what looks like a kid younger than me (I guessed 10?) standing in the hallway for a second then he's gone. Also when I'm sleeping I'll feel someone grab me and shake me awake and then I do wake up and it's 2:00AM and no one's there. Also if I walk around my room I'll suddenly feel this weird chill...

Do I have a ghost?

I'm doing a report on stage lighting, and I want to do a section on color variables. I noticed (and was told) that the brightness of a light will effect the color that comes out of the lamp. Does anyone know why this is? Sources would be fantastic, as I need a reliable source for my bibliography. Thanks for the time.
