I came across this list of "why sugar is bad for you" at this link
http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-is-Refined-Sugar---Known-As-White-Sugar---Bad-for-You?&id=119462

But I don't ususally accept a piece of knowledge unless I really understand it.

Can anyone please tell me the biochemistry behind this claim(the more scientifically detailed, the better)? Thanks.

It got really drunk on St. Patrick's Day and I still feel like crap.

I mean, I'm feeling really good compared to what I felt like the morning after. But still, I get dizzy and I hate the sound of people talking or any other sound. I can't even turn on the TV cuz it gives me headaches!

Well, actually, I DID turn on the TV cuz I just couldn't miss American Idol, but my head was not feeling good.

Am I dying???

I have had the following symptoms for a long time which no one has been able to properly diagnose:

I feel nauseous all day long, have tingling sensations in my feet and hands, sometimes worse after or before meals. I get "attacks" where the nausea is crazy horrible. I get really flushed, then the tingling in my feet and hands increase, then extremely nauseous, usually dry-heave, shake, I'm weak, feel like I can't move, everything seems blurry or cloudy. If I wait it out, it eventually passes. But, I end up having to sleep and am otherwise out of commission for hours.

I feel nauseous everyday, but these attacks happen every second day or so.

I have had the following tests/exams: immune system, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, insulin and sugar, thyroid, cancer, GERD, anxiety, allergies, viral and bacterial infections, anemia, hemoglobin, electrolytes...and much more.

In a previous post, it was intelligently suggested this might be epilepsy or seizures. Any new insights??

OK, so I know that it is bad to take Airborne as much as I did/ i really do. But I go to college and I really did not want to get sick. Stupid me. Anyway, I am going to stop taking the Airborne, and reserve it to take when I feel like I am getting sick. So, I have a few questions.

Should I ween myself off of it (3 a day, then 2 a day, then 1 a day)?

Will I feel any effects from not taking it anymore? This is a lot of vitamins to take at one time for so long, and once my body stops getting the amount that it is used to, can and will anything happen?

Please help. I'm pretty freaked out about this!

According to the 2001 Bethesda System, abnormal results can be classified as ASC-US or ASC-H (abnormal squamous cells of undetermined significance, or cannot exclude HSIL), but there is also LSIL and HSIL (low- and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions), as well as CIN 1, 2, and 3.

What do each of these classifications mean? Is CIN 1 more serious than ASC-H?

I never really understood how being on a Beta Blocker is good for the heart, and how it would prevent heart disease. Does it do more than just "Slow down" your heart rate, thats all I thought it acually did.

...why does a post mortem still have to be carried out? For example if someone has a bullet in their forehead.

I would hate the idea of being postmortemed. Can any one write in their will that they don't want to be??

A doctor's job basically consists of deciding what medicine to prescribe given a specific set of symptoms. A computer with a database of symptoms specific to a disease can be used to narrow down what ailment one may have and decide what medicine to prescribe. All that would need to be done is a physical examination, which a doctor doesn't really need to do, and all the findings can be input into a computer. Can this ever be done? I heart you.
