I think the calculation is:
666=2^2+3^2+5^2+7^2+11^2+13^2+17^2,
the sum of the squares of the first seven primes.

In hex, I think his calculation remains the same:
666=2^2+3^2+5^2+7^2+b^2+d^2+11^2=29a, not 666.

I never liked the explanation that 7 is God's number, and Satan is one less, 6, but repeated 3 times.To me this is not a calculation; to me a calculation doesn't depend on radix.

Why is this the calculation? I don't know but I think this is a 7-dimensional wave number. I think God's number is calculated:
7 = 1^2+1^2+1^2+1^2+1^2+1^2+1^2.

There are a couple of number tricks that have me intrigued.
Game 1:
Take any two digit number
Add the digits
Subtract the sum of those from the number itself
Answer is ALWAYS divisible by 9.

undertsand how that one works - essentially you're removing the UNITS - then subtracting 10% leaving 90% (a multiple of 9) of the original number

the one that still has me looking for an explanation is

GAME 2:
Take any 3 digit number
Reverse it
Subtract the smaller from the larger
Result is ALWAYS divisible by 9 (unless the rverse is the same as the original - then it's zero.)

Why is it so?
