How can i can rewrite (x^2+3x-4)/(x^2-2x-8) as 1 + (5x+4)/(x^2-2x-8).Please explain me.

Euler's formula is e^ix=cosx+isinx where e is the base of the natural logarithm , i is the imaginary unit and x is a real number. If x=2 how do u solve e^ix and cosx+isinx so that e^ix=cosx+isinx ?
