A farmer has three fields. One field is an equilateral triangle, one field is a circle, and one field is a square. The square field is 75% larger in area than the triangular field, and 50% larger in area than the circular field. In order to completely fence all three of the fields, exactly 4000 metres of fencing is required.

What is the total area of all three fields, in square metres?

I need to prove that if A and B are matrices such AB and BA exist, and AB is symmetric (so AB = (AB)transpose ), show that AB=Ba.

So far I can prove that AB and BA have the same size, but I can't figure out how to prove that they have the same entries.
Proof of size:
A is m*n, B is n*p. So AB is m*p, but since BA exists too m must = p. So now A is m*n, and B is n*m. This leads to AB being m*m and BA being n*n. And since AB=BA m must = n so all of the mentioned matrices must be n*n in size.
now i just need to prove that the entries of AB and BA are the same.

If it is true (now) that Pi has infinite decimals, then does that mean you can never know EXACTLY what the circumference of a circle is? (2(Pi)r).
Yet you can draw a circle that has an exact length? Or take a string of known exact measurable length and make a circle out of it.

What am I missing?

I always wondered this.

In math there is addition, multiplication, and powers, and they are reversed with subtraction, division, and logrithms, respectively. They are also connected like this:

in Powers, 4^5 is simply, 4*4*4*4*4,

and in multiplication, 4*5 is simply 4+4+4+4+4

So my question is...is there a function past powers, for example

4^4^4^4^4 can be simplified into a new type of function. Does this type of function exist? Obviously this is a ridiculously large number, but I thought that maybe there might be a theoretical use for it...

Would anyone be able to help me with this question?

For the polynomial:

P(x)=x^5-x^4-10x^3+2x^2+16x-8, I have been told that two factors are (x-1) and (x+2) and I have to show that one of these is a double factor...how do you do that? I know that a double factor means that it's a perfect square (i.e. (x-1)^2 or (x+2)^2) but that's all...I would really appreciate some help...can anyone explain this to me? Or show me a website that will? Thanks so much! :D
