1 is the answer
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
364, 361, 19, 16, 4, 1 ,1
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--> 1
(1)² = 1 (the ans is 1 because 1²=1)

--> 4
1 + 3 = 4

--> 16
(4)² = 16

--> 19
16 + 3 = 19

--> 361
(19)² = 361

--> 364
361 +3 = 364

--> etc....

364, 361 ( 3 ) is the difference
Now 361 is the square of 19 and the next will be 16 with a differnece of 3 so the series is 19,16
Now 16 is the square of 4 and the next will be 1 difference of 3
4,1 is the next
Now what is the square root of 1 is 1 and difference is 1-3 = -2

so 1, -2 is the answer. ( But its wrong )

Now the series should be in the increasing order

and it goes back to 4, 16, 19, 361, 364

so the answer is
364, 361, 19, 16, 4, 1, 4, 16,19,361, 364 ...............

The series follows -3 and then sqrt of the previous term alternatively. 361=364-3, 19=sqrt 361 and so on. The next term is sqrt 1 = 1

It looks as if several people have found 'a' solution (the algorithm of subtract 3 then take the square root, then repeat)

But, in fact, the next term can be anything you want it to be!!

Anyone who doesn't believe this simply doesn't understand the fundamental theorem of algebra.
