I know, it's easy. I just came up with it today.

I take that back! Maybe it's not as easy as I thought!

The answer is 6.
The numbers are factors of 60 in decreasing order.

Or you could look at it this way.
60(1/2) = 30
30(2/3) = 20
20(3/4) = 15
15(4/5) = 12
12(5/6) = 10
10(6/7) = 60/7

So depending on how you interpret the sequence, you can get more than one answer.

8.571428571

60 / 2 * 1 = 30
30 / 3 * 2 = 20
20 / 4 * 3 = 15
15 / 5 * 4 = 12
12 / 6 * 5 = 10
10 / 7 * 6 = 8.5714287571

This the pattern I came up with:

60 is a whole of 60.
30 is 1/2 of 60.
20 is 1/3 of 60.
15 is 1/4 of 60.
12 is 1/5 of 60.
10 is 1/6 of 60.

So what would be 1/7 of 60? It isn't a whole number, but here's what I got:

8.571428571.

That sucks. Can't have a sequential puzzle with an answer like that. 1/7 of 10. That's just dumb...
