Minina's answer sounds good (the odd numbers in this sequence count down by two, the even numbers up by three), but I have a different interpretation to offer.

20 (-19) 1 (+17) 18 (-14) 4 (+10) 14 (-6) 8

The numbers are subtracted or added in increasing increments, so by this sequence the next two numbers would be

14 and 8

Have a good night!

We need more information but from the looks of it I would have to say

16 then 7 as every odd positioned number is decreasing by two and every even positioned number is increasing by 3.
