A rhombus is a quadrilateral with four congruent sides. A square, then, is a special type of rhombus. Not all rhombi are squares, though.

I picture them as a square sqished from a pair of corners. There are some pictures at MathWorld, where they are desribed as an equilateral parallelogram, meaning parallel pairs of sides with equal side lengths.

A slanted square? That would imply that the square has been rotated in some way, which is an incorrect description in general, since a rotation would not alter the angles.
