The range of human hearing is roughly from twenty hertz to twenty kilohertz. Based on these limits and a value of 325 m/s for the speed of sound, what are the lengths of the longest and shortest pipes (open at both ends and producing sound at their fundamental frequencies) that you expect to find in a pipe organ?

A. shortest pipe ? m
B. longest pipe ? m

By this, I mean portable laboratory grade lasers that could cut through at least plastic (heck, even Wicked Lasers can do that). I mean powerful lasers that can at least cause severe (3nd degree & up) burns in about half a second. It must have a sustainable power source (continuous for at least 5 hours). It could be a continuous beam or a rather silly "blaster beam." Is it possible today?

I want to reduce the 12 volts from my battery into 7.2 volts. (I'm a noob at resistors) How would I go about doing this? Can some one give me a list of resistors I would use to do this, and possibly even a diagram of the circuit? The easier and the cheaper it is, the better.

I am designing a simple amplifier, specifically a class AB amp, and want my load resistance to be 8 ohms. I have two small diodes in my circuit, and am contemplating using transistors 2N3904 (npn) and 2N3906 (pnp). Am I on the right track?

I have Eveready batteries for electronic application, they come in different voltages like 15, 22.5 ets. What is the difference from regular 9 V duracell batteries, besides the voltage?

I need an 18 V DC source for 3mA current that would last for a long time. I know I could always experiment. I'm asking cause it's critical in my case that it won't die - a lot of stuff stops working and irreversible changes happen.

Can I assume that a larger (in physical size) battery will last longer?

Here are 3 interlocking gears. The largest gear has 14 teeth, the middle gear has 12 teeth, and the smallest gear has 6 teeth. The smallest gear can ONLY move in a clockwise direction, while the middle gear can move counter clockwise.

Q: How many turns will each gear have to make in order to turn all gears in their original starting direction??
