I'm in an Elementary Surveying Class, and last week we went over some stuff on surveying but I can't get this question using the notes I got so I'm gonna see if anyone our here can help me.

I was given 2 stations on a horizontal line. One station was called Sta 10+00, the other is Sta 17+46.32 how do you figure out the distance between? I was also given a manhole that is 112.43ft to the east of Sta 17+46.32 how do I figure out the station of the manhole?

The generator has to run at constant speed. How this is achieved when the wind speed is either toolow or too high?

ketch the graph of an example of a function that satisfies all of the given conditions.

lim f=1 (as x approaches 0^-)
lim f =-1 (as x approaches 0^+)
lim f=0 (as x approaches 2^-)
lim f=1 (as x approaches 2^+)
f(2)=1, and f (0) is undefined

How would I draw this?
If someone could help, that would be AMAZING.
I'm up ALL night trying to do this one question.
Maybe a little drawing paint? IDK, but ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated!

I'm thinking a 10' octagonal deck or garden gazebo. At first I was sure it was point to point. Then I started doubting myself. Help, please?

I really want to make space shuttles and airplanes and other spacecraft. That's why I've chosen to be an aerospace engineer. I heard that they are often out of a job, is that correct? And also, what do I do as a freshman in high school to prepare? Any other suggestions?

I am replacing my existing electric range with a gas range. I know that I must change the outlet so that I will have 110, however I do not want to run new lines if I can avoid it. I have been told that the new gas stove must be rewired using a different gauge of wire.

Since the existing wire is capible of handling 50A, why would the electrician need to run new wires for a 110V 20A circuit? Are all 110V outlets required by code to be 10 gauge or would any gauge that is rated for the voltage and amperage be acceptable?

I'm in VLSI and I think I've forgotten how to do this..but I may have to on a test (designing Compound Gates using transistors..). So for example: Y = AB + C+D

Would the complement be

A(complement) + B(complement) *C(complement)*D(complement)

I know it's probably simple, but it's been a really long time since I've taken digital logic. Thanks

I am developing a robot that can serve drinks, guard during the night, and possibly greet guests. I need it to be able to distinguish between human beings and inanimate objects, so I am planning on using a PIR sensor. But is it possible for a PIR sensor to be mounted on a MOVING robot? And what about the "warm-up" time? Are there PIR sensors out there that do not need a warm-up time?
