i don't want anything to do with resistors with capacitors

If the capacitor is discharging through a Resistor then
E =Eo e^-(t/RC) , where R = Resistance, C = capacitance, t = time, Eo is initial voltage and E is voltage at any time t. RC is called the time constant.
