What is the official size (width) of an octagon? Is it measured point to point or flat side to flat-side?

I'm thinking a 10' octagonal deck or garden gazebo. At first I was sure it was point to point. Then I started doubting myself. Help, please?

A square is measured from flat to flat.

A hex nut or cap screw (hexagon) is measured from flat to flat.

It depends on if you want to cheat. Monitors are measured diagonally to give a bigger number.

i thought it was measured like a radius from center to any corner.

it is point to point, so corner to corner i think that is what u mean by point to point.
