I am working on a circuit board. I am wondering what are the possible objects that creates a 60Hz noise interference.

Hi everyone,

I have found an old 9 light/LED Texas Instruments display (looks like it came out of one of those 60's-70's calculators...remember them? They didn't have LCD; they had these little red digits lighting up in them!)

I can't seem to find any schematics or data sheets (or anything to prove its even in existance =P ) online, even on Texas Instruments' website.

If anyone has any info on these devices, it would be much appreciated! THANK YOU!

I know it is one of the emissive flat panel screens. Wikipedia has a great article on Plasma panels, but I can't find one suitable to explain the functional details of these.

I remember a teacher I had at school who told me that When she was a girl bicycles with small wheels were all the rage. She went on to say that it requires more effort to propel a bicycle with small wheels.

I appreciate that since a smaller wheel rotates about its axis faster, there'll be more friction but above this, will there be any difference?

Due to noise pick up of VFD near by, few pulses are missing or added in a PID controller from Encoder /Proximity switch out put. How to get exact pulse reading with out missing/ added by keeping VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) near by place. Encoder/Proxy is not connected to VFD. It is connected to Programme controller installed near the VFD Panel.Condensor, resistance etc., already tried but failed. What do you suggest inorder not to miss the pulse?

The owners of a small island want to bring in electricity from the mainland. The island is 85 m from a straight shoreline at the closest point. The nearest electrical connection is 250 m along the shore from that point. It costs twice as much to install cable across water as across land. What is the LEAST EXPENSIVE way to install the cable?

Don't you think Airplanes shoud also be more fuel efficient? It does not have to be a crazy glider which cannot travel at 200 mph and uses no fuel, but do you not think that this could also help the rate of increase of oil prices?
