Not through reduced atmosphere like at high altitude or through vacuum like in space, not through helium or other lighter gases, not liquified or vaporized jets but physical objects only.

I'm assuming Hollerman Research Base might've been involved.

I am in my third year in my goal of getting a b.s. in electrical engineering. he says a b.s. degree will get you a b.s. job and that the only way to go is to get at least a master's and but go for the p.h.d. is he right? will a b.s. degree be worthless in the next few years?

I'm new to DSP and didn't take it in school. My question is, what exactly is the difference between pulse-coded and pulse amplitude modulations? I know PCM employs A-D conversion (hence codes instead of levels), but is that the only difference?
