Newton's 3rd Law says that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So, when you push against a brick wall with horizontal force F, the brick wall pushes back with an opposite horizontal force F, so that neither one of you moves. Stubborn and contrary brick wall!

The normal force is the force fighting gravity on the brick wall.

When you push on the wall, it is the friction between the ground and the wall that you are feeling pushing back.
