Sure a spark plug in a car, and a tesla coil to name two.

Eugene, you have it with the Tesla coil. google or wiki Tesla and there is a famous picture of him sitting in his laboratory with sparks flying all over. They are simple enough to build with Radio Shack parts. That would be fun. And, being high frequency, Tesla's stuff travels over the surface of conductors (including you) so there is little shock hazard, just neat science fair demo stuff.
