I live in a small 2 bedroom house. Last summer, we ran two 5,000 BTU 120 V. Air conditioners and my electric bill ran about 160 a month, but the house stayed cool.

We are considering buying a 220 Volt Air conditioner. With our small size house, would a 220 volt really save us all that much on our electric bill, or should we save the money?

I'll keep checking this question, so if you need further information please let me know.

I have two very difficult physics electricity circuit questions that i have been trying to do for the past few hours. Can someone please try them and show your work so i can understand what you did to solve the questions.

R stands for Resistance!
V stands for Voltage!
I stands for Current!

The "Re" is the sum of all the resistance in the circuit.

I would like to "get out of the box", meaning a cubicle. Can't take it much more. Does anyone know of a job that deals with the public that can utilize my technical skills? I don't mind taking a small pay cut but I have two kids to feed and need to find something that will pay close to what I make now. I'm lucky, in that I get to work with smart people, but the cubicle enviroment is going to make me go insane pretty soon. Any suggestions?

I am a student looking to build an oil water separator for a project, and am thinking I will use the vortex design, but I have a question. How do you get the oil out of it? I understand that the water will go to outside and create a cone, and that the water will thus naturally go down bottom hole while oil will go to center. But how do you remove the oil? Will it simply spill out of cone? Or do I have to put something there to suck it out? And how do I prevent the last of the oil from going down bottom hole when water flow stops? Your help is much appreciated.

In a fire alarm system would each break glass call popint be wired individually back to the control panel or would they be wired in series? What way would Smoke detectors be incorporated into the system and bells. I have 3 smoke detectors in the building and also a heat detector and carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen all interconnected and mains operated.

Would it be best practice or a regulation law to have these changed and incorporated into the control panel and if so would i have to change the wiring so they recieve their supply from the control panel?

Sorry if this is confusing i have worded it the best I can!

Cheers
