I have a bird feeder and squirrels are constantly eating from it and they're starting to look a bit fat. Is this normal for squirrels during the winter? My big question is, should I leave the bird feeder out there so they can eat and stay warm or should I take it away so they aren't to slow to run away from predators?

okay these questions have to do with evolution!

1. There is a difference of only one amino acid in one chain of the hemoglobin of humans and gorillas. What might have caused this difference???!!!

2. If the amino acid sequences in the proteins of two organisms are similar, why willl their DNA also be similar?

3. Many biologists believe that the number of differences between the proteins of different species indicates how long ago the species diverged from common ancestors. Why do these biologists believe that humans, chimpanzees, and gorillas diverged from a common ancestor only a few million years ago?

the last ones long.s orry.

if you happen to know the answers to all or any of these please respond!!!!!!

mmk i have to make a lil dichotomous key for biology.. with beetles. Its an EC assignment and i have no idea what im doing. Could anyone possible help out? All i have is a picture of the beetles i have to make the key with. I scanned it from the book and here are the beetles:

Doesnt need to be long unless thats what you want, and no big words that i , a 14 yr old, wouldnt say lol. Like the first branch off could be round, or oval or something. Im just confused on what to do and how to divide characteristics and get all the beetles in there.

The best answer must be easy to understand using simple words, and have enough info to fill half a page of bullet point.

I also need plenty of web sources. Good Luck!
