the father must have the O gene

so he could be AO, BO, or OO, the O gene is recessive so that when paired with an A or B gene the blood type is A or B. He could not be AB because the child is O. If he was AB the child would HAVE to be either an A or B.

i'm no longer likely to do your damn homework for you, yet this: "there is extra desirable than one obtainable genotype based on the mummy's phenotype." isn't real, if it quite is asserting that there is extra desirable than one obtainable genotype for the son.
