Each hand has 19 bones : thumb has 2 phalanges and the other 4 fingers have 3 phalanges each, there are 5 metacarpal bones. Some people have sesamoid bones but I wouldn't count them because they are not consistently present. The carpal bones are in the wrist so they don't count either.

There are 12 ribs on each side though some people have an extra rib (cervical ribs) The sternum has three parts but most consider it one bone. The the rib "cage" would have 13 or 15 bones depending on how you count the sternum. Now if you count the thoracic vertebrae as a part of the "cage" then you would have to add another 12 of those. But I don't think it should be counted...might be a good idea to check your text book.

The toes have the same number of phalanges as the fingers. (a total of 14 in each foot).

So I would answer: the hand.
