Dna makes your fingerprints...

Everyone has a different fingerprint just like everyone has a different genetic code in your DNA.

Maybe you are thinking about DNA fingerprinting which is when they match DNA from a crime scene to a suspect using enzymes that "cut" the DNA into specific sequesces that can match up to a suspects DNA. Its called that because DNA evidence is as good (better actually) as a fingerprint when arresting a suspect.

If you are asking about a direct relationship, there is none. Fingerprints are even distinct between identical twins, who share the same exact DNA.

There is DNA in the skin cells that you might leave behind with a fingerprint.

There actually has been some evidence to suggest that the basic pattern (whorl, loop, etc) of your fingerprint may be genetically influenced. Identical twins have been shown to have similar patterns (though NOT identical) on correlating fingers (ie left-hand pointer-finger).
