In humans, short fingers(brachydactyly) [B] and woolly hair [W] are dominant over the recessive alleles for normal fingers [b] & normal hair [w]. A man with brachydactyly & normal hair marries a woman with normal fingers & woolly hair. Their 1st child has normal fingers & normal hair.

a- What is the genotype of the man?
b- What is the genotype of the woman?
c- What is the genotype of the child?
d- What is the probability of any child of the above mentioned mating having normal fingers?
-------
I think I have to make a Dihybrid cross. From the info given, I think the man is Bbww, the woman is bbWw & the child is bbww. I have to SHOW it though, what is my dihybrid supposed to be made of though? What goes on top- on the left?

a- Dad= heterozygous?
b- Mom= heterozygous?
c- Child=homozygous?
d- 50-50 chance

Please Help explain this to me, I Don't know what combinations should be in my punnett square, what letters go where? Thanks so Much! = )

I have a stock concentration of 100uM, these volumes are so small they are confusing me - I know it is possible because my PCR protocol calls for 1.0 and 0.05 pmol of primers. Any help? THANKS!

I had a lab about lipids where my class just rubbed olive oil on a brown piece of paper. I do know it has something to do with filling the gaps in the papers leaving a translucent surface, but how?

The worlds food resources are being streached beyond the limit. Gene splicing and joining has yielded considerable means of food. France wants no part in it. They call the foods, "Frankinfoods." They are outlawed in France. What will be the effects of our insect pests of various food crops? Will they survive off just bio-engeered food?

It is for Biology. I have to do a Powerpoint persentation of at least 30 slides of hat will be the effects of our insect pests of various food crops. Please help!

I'm not talking about the more controversial embryonic stem research. I'm talking about just stem cell research in general...like adult stem cell research. Personally, I think this is an idiot question, but I have to answer it for a science project T-T Sources would be very, very beneficial.
Any help is appreciated!

I understand that nuleotide polymorphism can arise by the mutation of already existing nucleotides, but how do you get from a simple organism with few genes to a complex one with many?

Most of the arguments in favour of ID are pretty easy to counter, but I'm stuck on this one.

Assume that large, free earlobes are controlled by the dominant allele (F) & attached earlobes by the recessive allele (f). In addition, the ability to curl the tongue into a U shape is regulated by the dominant allele (T) & the recessive allele (t) produces NON tongue rolling condition. These genes are on separate chromosomes; hence they assort independently.
a- A woman who is a free-earlobed tongue roller marries a man who has attached earlobes and is a Non tongue roller. Their only child, a boy has attached earlobes & can't roll his tongue. What are the genotypes of his mother, his father, and the boy?
b- For the Above situation,Show a Punnett square for the mating of a male who is heterozygous for Both traits & a female who is homozygous recessive for both traits. What are the Genotypic & Phenotypic ratios of this mating?
---
I think I have to make a dihybrid with FT-Ft-fT-ft & I think the boy & dad- homozygous recess. & Mom= heterozygous.Idk how to show all of this though.
