So if we could centrifuge blood, could we separate the good DNA/RNA from the defective DNA/RNA that had been altered by free radicals or carcinogens? If we could identify the DNA that is supposed to be in the body, couldn't we filter out the bad DNA and free radicals by computer recognition and centrifuge?

During prophase, genetic material is exchanged between the homologous chromosomes.

In many sites, it says that "both parent's chromosomes are in there"... but I thought that meiosis makes the eggs/sperm, so there is no fertilization yet...

so how come there are "both parents' chromosomes" in that cell?

anyone familiar with XTT or done XTT assay before? according to product manual, the more viable cells, the more XTT rings it cleaves and more orange formazan accumulate. therefore when the OD is read, absorbance is higher for samples with more live cells, right? absorbance is lower for the wells with more dead cells right? but my result shows the other way round. the more pathogen protein i put in, the higher the absorbance.
I used a medium with phenol red (although not recommended). i suspect my protein change the pH of medium, thus it change colour. but i also have control wells that contain cells, medium and protein (without phenol red), the protein doesn't chnage the colour(pH) of medium. the readings for the wells (no XTT) is consistant.
Is the graph i got correct (absorbance increase when pathogen protein concentration is increased)?

first let me say that i believe in evolution. i am not an ignorant creationist. but this one thing has confounded me. why do you think that people from arabic nations are so hairy in general. they come from a warm climate. i would think hair would have been phased out over time.

So mainly the purpose of this is about:Lactase intolerance is cause by a shortage of the enzyme lactase,which is produced by the cells that line the small intestine.They are produced by the cells that line the small intestine.

Hypothesis:If the enzyme is boiled,it will become denatured and no longer function.

Materials:We use strips of paper and we use many different kinds of liquid like gatorade,milk,lactase,milk+lac... water

Procedure:We used strip of paper and we each dipped it in four different kinds of liquid and after that we check if the paper turned into a different color or is the same color.

I know how meiosis seperates into four sex cells with half the amount of chromosomes so that the offspring (after combined with sex cell of the opposite gender), will have 46 chromosomes. What I don't get is...

>> In females... after it splits...one egg with 23 chromosomes results. Then how can more meiosis form, since theres only one egg with only 23 chromosomes now??

The topic:Water is a polar molecule that is both adhesive&cohesive.Water is an essential to life because it helps dissolve substance needed for ife.Water also helps create a stable environment because of its ability to store heat.Pure water always has an equal number of hydrogen ions&hydroxide ions.

Hypothesis:If the penny has too much water on top of it,it will spill.

Materials:We use tap water,penny,2 cups,dropper,paper towels,soap(dish),Ajax

Procedure:The first thing we did is we got tap water and try putting several drops on the penny without spilling it and then we got soap and did the same thing.We checked to see whether the tap water or soap water can stay the longest without spilling.

Conclusion:?
