A friend of mind told me the sun travels from the south east, but I wanted to know does it go towards the east or west, and where does it set?

Please don't give me annoying unwanted answers.

Here's the question, just point me in the right direction:

"Our interplanetary scientist, Cefor, has sent some electronic cards from her visits to places in our solar system. You have asked her to tell you her weight and mass at each place.

Moon:
Mass - 10 kg
Weight - 11.6N

Venus:
Mass - 10kg
Weight - 90N

Mercury
Mass - 10kg
Weight - 40N

When Cefor left Earth, she had a mass of 10kg and a weight of 100N.

Task: Draw a force diagram for Cefor standing still on Earth and on the three other places. Use the level ladder instructions to help explain your ideas.

Key words: acceleration, force, gravity, killograms, mass, Newtons, reaction"

I'll be really grateful if you help me!

Thanks x x

If there were to be an explosion in space, given that space is a vaccum and oxygen is absent, what would happen? I have been pondering this for some time and think that assuming it were a rocket there would be an explosion and everything would move outwards symetrically and in the same direction the orginal object were moving. If there were no oxygen and a fuel was some how set alight what would happen? I have a vision of a space station in flames.?!

Why is it that even at new moon (~Oct 1), high tide does not correspond directly to the Moon & Sun transit time (halfway between the set & rise times)?

"Gravity is bunk!" is not an acceptable answer. ;)

http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/ofs/cbofs/cbofs.html is supposed to be helpful, but I cannot find specific relative information that would point me in the right direction.

Please help, thanks!

It's not Improperable but Properable. We could even be really tiny, maybe microscopic in a much larger world.

My son has a Mead TeleStar Telescope with one 2x Barlow lens and one MH 9mm lens. Seeing the moon is no problem at all, so when I assembled the telescope and put the lens in, I found it very easily, especially the last couple of nights of the Harvest Moon phase. It was beautiful and extremely bright. However, those nights when I heard that Mars was visible, I could not adjust the telescope to bring it into view where it was visible enough to make it out. How can I do that so we can see the plantets or planet, close enough to were we can tell that it's Mars?

I mean it could of been to close to the sun in which we would burn up, But if it was too cold, we would freeze to death. We just happen to be in the right spot, Therefore there must be a higher power controlling the universe. I mean what are the odds?
