Ok, so i've been around Answers for awhile now and it just amazes me how people come up with some of these questions. I know there's NORMALLY no such thing as a stupid question but DAMMIT it amazes me that some of these people ever survived childhood. I even saw a question from somebody that asked about the cheese on the moon!

I have also noticed that, especially now, a lot of questions are from students who are stuck on some problem or another. Others are just asking intelligent questions to compare theories with other people. Nothing wrong with that; in fact it's the best way to learn things and think up new ideas. But some of these doofuses are asking some of the silliest questions I ever heard. How did they ever graduate? Are they related to Dubya? Do they REALLY not know that stars are really, really hot? Do they REALLY not understand that petroleum comes from the ground and we have to drill holes to get it? Do they actually believe that the moon is made of cheese?

Freeze,... Can you think of something real or imagined, which could prevent The Big Freeze from happening. Something contained within a bunch of worlds which are observable, but untouchable as they're too far away. !!! Thankyou sooooo much for any contributions!

well I was told by a NASA scientist that you would, but other people seem to say you wouldn't, but if you think about it, it makes sense that you would.

I have seen models of our solor system always portrayed with all the planets on the same plane..... Like a flat dinner plate.
Are the planets really like that or do the different planets in our solar system rotate around the sun at different angles on different planes?
Do the different planets rotate around the sun more like the electrons around the nucleus in the model of an atom, all going in different directions?......or is the solar system flat?
If it is flat, has anyone ever explained why they dont all go around the sun on different planes?
Thanks.

I have heard people say there was a conspiracy about the Apollo missions and we never went to the moon. The conspiracy theorists say it was all staged. Why cant anyone produce telescopic photos of the cars and things we left behind on the moon to prove them wrong? Is it too far away?? On the opposite side?? I would assume we have telescopes powerful enough and satelittes etc...
Why have I never seen photos of the artifacts we left behind on the moon taken from Earth? I know they left a car and a flag and some other stuff up there.....Can they be seen from Earth?

I love learning. Believe it or not, I was the kid in the back of the class dozing off, but something's changed. For the past few years, I love learning. So, anyone recommend any good websites? computers, technology, science?

Imagine that I can, well tell me, what do I visualize first in order to bring down the temperature as its very hot here right now.
Imagining rain in a heatwave seems to create humidity and lightning.. tell me exactly how cool weather HAPPENS. I would be very intrigued to know.

I always thought that "nothing" was simply the space outside of earth.. how there is no air/mass or anything there... but my friend told me there is a different between "space" and "nothing".. so outside of earth there is something: space.

So I just can't understand the concept of nothing. I mean, could you go into nothing? Or throw something into it? Or see it? See through it? What is it? It's so hard to understand.

ive been wondering this for awhile,it was 1st pointed out in my mid.teens-not directly to me tho;
you believe that the big bang caused everything to expand & shoot off into space,&when they finally settled into their positions as we know them today, they started spinning around on their axis.(if thats not exactly how your belief goes, then its BASICALLY that)
im wondering;how do you come up w/ the theory that they started spinning after being shot out all over the place if things that are shot out, dont go spinning around?
examples are;you pop a balloon but the pieces dont spin around after being shot out-& i doubt they would start if they didnt land anywhere.OR,your throw a ball but it doesnt start spinning anywhere-i know it also lands as well as the balloon pieces.but how 'bout this?may be an even better example;you knock a puck across the ice,but when it gets to its destination, it doesnt start spinning, it just slows, then stops.
could ya tell me how ya got the spinning idea?

Could some other organism from some other planet faaaar far away, farther than our telescopes or robots could reach, somehow find us, and come to us in some "spaceship".. and appear for a while, and then leave without a trace?

I mean, it can't even be PROVEN.

And don't they have to breathe or.. live off of something? And why would they come to earth.. if they won't even communicate with "humans" or other organisms on earth.. if that's basically the only special thing ABOUT earth in the first place.

...with very similar traits to earth (not EXACT of course, that's not possible) .. would the organisms that evolve there look like the ones here?

How does evolution work anyways?

Can one ascertain a mathematical understanding of the optical illusion of how the moon and stars become larger closer to the horizon...

although...it is considered to be an optical illusion...one is able to see the constellations easier and closer to the horizon.

one would think that directly overhead...that the constellations seen should be the denominator
...not an earthly reference point...to "base magnification" by...

now this im sure isnt what most of you think its about. if anyone watches the TV series 'The Universe' on the history channel im sure they have seen the comercial for the last episode, which is about the big bang.

in this comercial it says that in 3 minutes 98% of everything ways created, now i was under the impression that 100% of everything was created at the same time in the giant explosion, it might have took more time for some energy to cool into matter, but it was still there.

so can someone explain to me wtf they are talking about, cuz im pretty sure theyre wrong.
