Freeze,... Can you think of something real or imagined, which could prevent The Big Freeze from happening. Something contained within a bunch of worlds which are observable, but untouchable as they're too far away. !!! Thankyou sooooo much for any contributions!

Well as I understand the question. There are two areas to this question, the universes itself and earth, how do we prevent "The BIG freeze" on both those scales?

EARTH,

THE FACTS,
Well let’s look firstly at the smaller of the two, earth. The big freeze at theory occurs on earth due to the lack of exothermic energy that is available to sustain all life (due to the fact of the sun dying or already dead as well as the earth's core cooling). A lot of people think that global warming might help, but without the sun there is no more global warming because there are no more solar energy coming in. Also theory believes that earth's core is cooling as well, which means the earth is getting colder on the surface. Science has already proven that there have been a few ice ages already and I don’t believe that they were the last ones either.
*Don’t worry this is leading to my solution =)*

As briefly hinted at, we all know the sun is dying out as well. The way we know is that it is increasing in size and mass and eventually will collapse creating a dwarf star (Based upon result of similar stars already collapsed). Also the earth’s core is cooling as well.

THE SOLUTION,
So here is my theoretical solution to the big freeze upon earth. Its split into two section, the sun and the core. This will tie together to form a possible fully functional solution to the big freeze.

THE SUN,
Unfortunately there is very little research done into how we can prevent the sun from collapsing. SO I say if we cannot prevent it from happening, just create a new sun. That’s right just create a new form of proving solar power to our solar system. The difference would be that I would create a source that can be self-containing the way this would be done is beyond this question I feel. Now to our solution on earth.

THE EARTH,
Right as the sun is increasing in size and mass, it is also increasing in temperature, because it is getting close to us (bit obvious). So as this phenomenon is occurring I would develop as machine that sits on the outer reaches of our atmosphere and will capture the heat wave coming off the sun and place them into storage within a thermal storage device which later will be transferred into a generator placed in the earth to pump the exothermic energy into our earths core to reheat the core. Now you might be asking at this stage what happens to this theory after the sun dies out. Well as we all know a lot of energy escapes from our earth. We would create a method of capturing this energy and relaying it back into the generator. Combined with the new self-containing solar power it should be fine.

UNIVERSE,

THE FACTS,
As we all know the universe is expanding at an exponential rate and everything is getting pulled apart (due to metric expansion) even our molecules. This evidently leads to the universe collapsing through the fact that all that will be left in the end is dark matter and molecules floating about.

THE SOLUTION,
If as mentioned in the question we are past saving the universe collapsing and therefore no solution will be feasible. The only thing that we can hope of doing is to find a way of preventing metric expansion of occurring which is average person language it means that we need to find a method of slowing the universe from expanding.

CONCLUSION,
I would like to think that the human race will evolve enough to be able to create unimaginable achievements and secure its survival (and that my methods get considered), but the fact stands that we most likely wont be able to prevent the universe from collapsing or the earth from freezing or burning to a smoulder. The only thing we can do is to find a method(s) to survive the situation and rebuild after the issue have occurred.

The ice age has passed a long time ago.Science as per calculation of the earth's pole precession, predicts a Heat Age.
Whereas in the Ice age you would have had to be superhuman not to freeze to death.
ON the other hand in the Heat age you would have to be more then superhuman not to roast like a turkey to death.
Otherwise on the basis of Global Warming as indicated by Al Gore, there exist the possiblity that the HUman race will disappear ,Unless Genetic Engineering will produce a new type of Human Evolution that will make them roast resistant.

Let's not fear of a Big Freeze, we are in the Warm Hands of
the Almighty who takes care of the Universe.
The real Big Freeze is a real menace but it's in our heart.
Let's do everything to prevent Love from freezing!

People were afraid of me and called my a lunatic pyromaniac because I liked to set things on fire and wanted to burn entire forests and jungles all at once.

Well guess what? Campfires that huge will keep us nice and warm during the next Ice Age, so all of sudden now they're calling me a genius.

Typical humans...

If that is the way the Universe ends, then that is the way. There is no way to stop it. Human kind, even if we are able to survive the next 15 Billion years, will never have the power to stop the universe from dying.

Now, we could survive it, but never stop it.

Lots and lots of anti-freeze! I'd be raiding the petrol garage and going from there (some of the people in petrol garages in the evening seem like they're from another world....)!
